What is Tinkernet?

On August 8, Tinkernet officially launched block processing on Kusama. I want to congratulate the InvArch Network team for the successful launch of the canary network on Kusama. In this article, we will break down the main features and capabilities that Tinkernet will bring to the Kusama ecosystem.

What is Tinkernet?

Tinkernet is the IP Hub at Kusama, the IP storage and development center, the first parachain to use RMRK 2.0 NFT Pallets. A fully private, decentralized blockchain that incorporates Kusama (including security) and RMRK technologies.

Tinkernet serves as the experimental network of InvArch Network, which is being launched to test the creation and storage of IP assets in the Dotsama ecosystem. INV4, OCIF, XCA protocols will first be tested on Tinkernet and only then run on InvArch, this will not risk the main network if something goes wrong.

INV4 — Protocol for Creating/Storing IP

INV4 Protocol will allow tokenization and storage of IP (intellectual property) in the form of NFTs, which will be recorded in a registry, which will be impossible to hack or rewrite (unless a majority of the community has a problem with that).

IPF — IP File

If you have some idea that you can put in a file on your computer, you can upload it to the Tinkernet platform (with a smart contract) and store it. When uploading your file will need to pass the uniqueness check, if it is found that the file has already been uploaded to the platform, the file download will be terminated.

Your files will be called IPF (IP File), which will be in the form of a non-fungible token (NFT). You will be able to transfer, merge, or burn these files.

IPS — IP Set

If you have multiple files, they will be combined into one IP Set (collection). It is the IP Set that will be your full tokenized intellectual property, which will include various files.

IPT — IP Tokens

IP Tokens include the distribution of rewards, royalties between all participants in the implementation of a particular idea. IP Tokens confirm your participation in the creation and realization of something, with IPT you will always get reward/royalty/other rewards for creating a product, no one can cheat you, because everything is recorded in the blockchain.

You can imagine it this way : you created a music track with 3 more of your tokens, you all get 25% IP tokens each, any rewards/royalties will be distributed in even portions of 25% to your wallets.

IPL — IP Licenses

When creating a file on the InvArch platform, everyone receives a license agreement (IPL), which confirms the uniqueness and availability of the original IP type.

OCIF — On-Chain Innovation Funding

The OCIF Protocol is a key component in the network for providing and receiving rewards for funding. The protocol includes 3 innovative financing solutions : IP Staking, IP Farming, IP Donations.

IP Staking

IP Staking will allow young startups to find funding at a very early stage, at the idea stage. The community votes for their favorite idea (dApp bid) and then the chosen application gets funding for product development.

You will need $TNKR/$VARCH tokens to vote, giving your vote will lock your tokens in the smart contract.

IP Farming

With IP Farming, startups will be able to launch crowdfunding programs to raise money for their ideas. They can choose the minimum and maximum amount they need to raise.

If you like the idea of a future project, you can give part of your IP Staking Rewards to a crowdfunding company in exchange for a certain number of IP tokens of the project being created.

IP Donations

“Free” project financing, any project can ask for a certain amount to implement its idea, anyone can donate any amount (not exceeding the hard cap) to the project, and in return they should get nothing.

XCA Protocol — The Cross-Chain Authentication

The XCA protocol continues to implement the full power of the XCM protocol from Polkadot, which is designed for inter-chain interaction of various parachains. With the XCA protocol, IP Assets can be created anywhere in the Dotsama ecosystem. But in order to do so, another parachain (say Acala) must use InvArch Pallets to integrate the IP Modules into its parachain.

Via IP Modules, other parachains will be able to use IPV4 protocol technologies, this is not a cross-chain, it is a fully multi-chain system.Polkadot was originally created as a multichain solution, as a huge ecosystem in which all blockchains can communicate and exchange data, assets and messages with each other.

The XCA protocol also provides the ability to check files for uniqueness and helps to find “pirated” files.

$TNKR — power of IP on Kusama

The Tinkernet native token will be $TNKR. The token will be used to pay online commissions, IP minting, voting, and more. About 3 million tokens will be issued in Genesis, the maximum number of tokens is 11,700,000 $TNKR.

For more information about the $TNKR token, visit the official Tinkernet page https://invarch.network/tinkernet.

What’s next?

Next week we’ll be able to brand our awards for crowdfunding $KSM tokens at PLO Tinkernet. The claiming guide will also be published next week, so stay tuned to the project’s social networks.

For now, Tinkernet is up and running and soon we will be able to start using all the help of IP technology on Kusama. In a few months, after the successful launch of all the protocols on Kusama, InvArch will be launched on Polkadot.

The team continues to develop new protocols, such as IPVM, a virtual machine for creating IP-based applications. Also in the future we will have INV4-Git, a decentralized library of files for developers. In case of recent Github hacks and file deletions, Tinkernet will be able to make a statement, because from GitArch (decentralized Github) not a single file can be deleted, because it is originally on the network when it is uploaded.

In the future, the INV4 protocol will also be integrated into NFT marketplaces for trading IP assets. The InvArch launch is targeted for the end of September 2022 at the latest.

About InvArch

InvArch — IP Meta Protocol for secure storing IP Assets on Polkadot based on Substrate framework. InvArch included 3 different protocols for creating, storing and exchanging IP data. IP is stored on the network using the innovative RMRK NFT 2.0 technology. Main parachain will be launched on Polkadot in the end of 2022 year.
